Meet Dr. Goodman

Stephen Goodman, MD, is an accomplished physician who has been a part of the team at Gastrointestinal Associates of Rockland PC in New City, New York, since 1998. 

Dr. Goodman graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York at Binghamton in Binghamton, New York, in 1988, where he was inducted into the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He earned his medical degree in 1992 from the New York University School of Medicine. 

He pursued postgraduate training at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center in Washington Heights, Manhattan, in New York City, where he completed his internship and residency in 1995, his fellowship in clinical nutrition in 1996, and his fellowship in clinical gastroenterology in 1998. He’s a board-certified diplomate in internal medicine and gastroenterology.

When he’s not treating patients at Gastrointestinal Associates of Rockland, Dr. Goodman is an attending physician at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, New York, and Montefiore Nyack Hospital in Nyack, New York. He’s also the co-director of the Esophageal Center at Good Samaritan Hospital and a member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
