Louis D. May, MD, is a highly skilled physician who has been practicing medicine since 1983. He currently treats patients at Gastrointestinal Associates of Rockland PC in New City, New York. 

Dr. May graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Queens College, City University of New York, in Kew Garden Hills, Queens, in New York City in 1973, and earned his medical degree in 1978 from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Miami. He pursued his postgraduate training at the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City, where he completed an internship and residency in 1981 and a fellowship in gastroenterology in 1983. He’s a board-certified diplomate in internal medicine and gastroenterology. 

Outside of his practice at Gastrointestinal Associates of Rockland, Dr. May is an attending physician at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in Suffern, New York and Montefiore Nyack Hospital in Nyack, New York. He was also the president of the Rockland County Medical Society in 1996-97.

Dr. May is active in his field and is a proud member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society for Internal Medicine, the Rockland County Medical Society, and the Medical Society of the State of New York.
